"Heróis do Impossível" is a play that follows the life of a couple in the post-revolution period and reveals the power of opposites at their peak. The text is based on the stories in the diary that Natália Correia began writing on April 25, 1974, and on the testimony of one of the captains of April, the author's father.
A show by Companhia João Garcia Miguel, commemorating the 50th anniversary of April 25th, which proposes a journey to the most intimate side of the Carnation Revolution: the transformation that occurred within family relationships.
"In those times, we realize that we are also the ones who are there. Or who were there. We are made of the same experience, which implies a forgetting and an awakening. This sense of tragedy has fallen upon us — this concept where ways of feeling and thinking intersect that, for as few moments as they may be, are capable — we are capable — of assuming and affirming the totality of existence. It is based on this feeling of tragedy that inspires us as a country that we return here. The path to this collective story will be shaped in the life of a couple. Man and woman as symbols of this tragic feeling that swept and pushed us in those years.” JGM
