BLUE is an aerial acrobatics project based on a reflection on affection and friction, intimate and public, solo and collective. Throughout this contemplative and intimate performance, a set of ephemeral, fragile and brief landscapes are constructed that serve as a test of durability, tension and resistance for the four bodies on stage.
Margarida Montenÿ is an aerial acrobat and performer based in Porto. She seeks a transdisciplinary approach in her research and choreographic practice, characterizing her creations by models and devices that question space and passive audience interaction with the performances, working mainly on states of intimacy, strength and vulnerability. In recent years she has collaborated as a performer for different companies, including Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte/ Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa, Miguel Pereira, Companhia Erva Daninha, Circo Caótico, Teatro Musgo, Vanda R Rodrigues/Antípoda, among others.
